Prayer List

Please pray for comfort, healing, and strength. While you’re at it, pray for their families, as well.

Courtney, young mother with cancerous brain tumor. Her MRI in July showed stability with her treatment. **Praise Report: Her September MRI showed no sign of the tumor. Her oncologist plans to continue chemo and MRIs to check her status every two months. Praise God for answered prayer! Please continue to pray for Courtney. **Praise Report: Her November MRI looked even better than the previous two!! **Her January MRI was clear. After a PET scan, her doctors will decide whether to discontinue one of her chemo drugs. **Courtney's March MRI and PET scan were clear. Doctors are adjusting down her chemo treatment.

Emily, 12-year-old with bone cancer. Her body has responded well to the initial phase of treatment and surgery. She still has a long road ahead.

Lori, my cousin’s wife, with metastatic cancer. **Praise Report: After being given 6 months to live at the beginning of July, Lori's latest scan shows the cancer has not spread anymore or progressed! (She has been taking a chemo drug designed for a different type cancer than what she has, and it has been effective in her case.)

Sarah asks for prayer for her niece Lori who has recently been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer.

TC Avey’s sister-in-law is battling cancer. It has only been three months since her brother (TC’s father-in-law) died of lung cancer. She was diagnosed a few weeks ago with the same cancer. She is progressing really rapidly. Without a touch for God she will not make it.

A childhood friend of mine, Beth, who was also part of my church family has just been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I'd appreciate prayers for her as she undergoes chemotherapy.

Betty’s uncle had a stroke.  He is some better but has a long way to go through rehab. Also his daughter, Betty’s cousin Kay, needs prayer. She is having many problems and needs the Lord.

A high school friend, Bonnie, has breast cancer.

My great-nephew Jack has just been diagnosed with Perthes disease. Please pray for a full recovery and strength and comfort for the family as they adjust to this news.

Tony has been diagnosed with an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Other requests:

Please pray for Jeremy, Elizabeth, and Ashley. These three young adults have turned their back on Christ and have chosen a self-destructive, sinful path instead. Pray for them to realize their sin and turn back to the hope only found in Christ.

A confidential request from someone struggling with their future and feeling the presence of God. Please lift up this young person, that they may feel God’s hand of comfort during this stressful period.

Tony is battling depression after the death of his father and other stressors this year.

Pastor Benarji Kumar of True Light Ministry – There has been flooding in his region of India. He’s working to get clean water and supplies to people in great need. His own health hasn’t been good. Pray that God’s hand will be upon him as he ministers to others.

Linda and Stephen’s marriage is at a crossroads right now. Please pray that they’ll seek God’s guidance in their decisions.

Matthew is having mental health issues and is living an unhealthy lifestyle. Pray that God will give his family wisdom and strength as they seek answers, and that Matthew will get help for his problems.

Betty’s mother-in-law recently lost her husband to Alzheimer’s. She’s experiencing her own health issues now including memory problems and fibromyalgia. Please pray for a return to good health and wisdom for the family as they seek answers.

Also, lift up our military returning home injured and facing challenges. One soldier in particular, Sgt. Jesse McCart, stepped on an IED in Afghanistan in July 2012. He is in outpatient rehab in Texas. His updates, photos, and contact info are listed on a separate page. Mail and encouragement is so important to our servicemen and women who are rehabbing. Other soldiers from the same unit are listed and could use encouragement, as well. Pre-paid stamped postcards obtained at the post office are a great way to do this regularly.

If you have a prayer request, please email me and indicate if you want it added to the list or kept confidential. My email address islaurapoole565@gmail.com.

God bless,
Laura
